It has an Earth background because its element is, surprisingly earth. Now I'm going to present a disclaimer. Do not accuse me on this deviation, of copying off of Laz or Shin, or Skull or whomever. I will hide your comment and it will be ignored. I started working on this species when I drew this; [link] which believe it or not, I got the inspiration for it looking at the spackle on my bedroom ceiling. I've since changed some things to make them more mothlike. My biggest inspiration for drawing them, just like any of the artists I mentioned above, is actual animals FROM NATURE. For instance, the front view picture of its face was inspired by a picture of a cat gecko I saw with its mouth open in a magazine. If you decide to say I copied off of someone's designs or whatever remember that a human can not create something from nothing and that even the three SACRED artists mentioned were inspired by something or someone around them. Show me an artist that says they are completely 100% original and I will show you a liar. tl;dr, no shitstorming my page please.
